精东传媒 Health Student Scholarships Doubled to Build Workforce

Denver, CO 鈥 This week, the 精东传媒 (NEHA) and the American Academy of Sanitarians (AAS) announced the expansion of their student scholarship program from three scholarships to five. They also increased the amount of each scholarship, doubling the total investment in students from $9,050 annually to $16,800 this year.

The NEHA/AAS Scholarship Fund provides direct financial support for undergraduate and graduate students.

鈥淭hese scholarships recognize potential and empower the recipients to make an environmental health impact by helping them to achieve their academic goals,鈥 said Larry Ramdin, NEHA Board of Directors First Vice-President. 鈥淧roviding scholarships is in keeping with NEHA鈥檚 mission to build, sustain, and empower an effective environmental health workforce.鈥

Over the next few years . Scholarships can help to build the new workforce needed to protect communities from current and emerging environmental health risks.

Funding for the scholarships comes from individual and corporate donations and NEHA/AAS budget commitments.

To be eligible for the scholarships, applicants must be enrolled a dedicated and recognized curriculum in environmental health sciences within an accredited college or university in the U.S., its territories, or the Freely Associated States, and intend to pursue a career in environmental health.
